QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

All you need to know, and then some.

1. How many people on regular fishing charter?

All prices include 4 passengers. Add a 5th for $100. Please contact us about 6 passenger trips.

2. How many people can go on an Isle Royale trip?

5 passengers max. Transportation-ONLY trips may have more, and are decided on a case-by-case basis as coordinated with the NPS.

​

3. What should I bring?

A Michigan fishing license for anyone 17+, a change of warm clothes, and your favorite snacks & drinks. For Isle Royale, please consider bringing a pillow, toothbrush, and coffee cup. Please visit our Isle Royale page for details.

4. Do I need to bring fishing gear?

We provide all fishing gear & tackle, but if you have something tried & true, feel free to bring it along!

​

5. Do we have to fish the whole time?

You can split your time between boating, fishing, hiking & adventuring at any point!

​

6. Where do you launch from?

Lac la Belle, Copper Harbor, Eagle Harbor, Lily Pond, Big Traverse, South Entry, or Chassell. We can trailer the boat anywhere in Michigan for additional costs! Isle Royale trips leave out of Eagle Harbor.

7. How many fish can I catch?

You can catch 3 of the same species, or 5 combo.

​

8. Can we keep the fish?

Yes, as long as they follow within guidelines. Trophy fish WILL BE RELEASED. We can help you find a taxidermist to replicate the mount.

​

9. How long does it take to get to Isle Royale?

On calm water, less than 1.5hrs. No more than 3hrs.

​

10. How much does a trip to ISRO cost?

All trips start at $1500. There more people in your group and the longer you stay, the better price you get!

11. What is the weather like near Lake Superior?

Lake Superior is so massive it creates its own lake effect, weather patterns, and climate. Prepare for ALL weather, sometimes without warning.
